Dr. Joey Gawrysiak is the executive director of esports at Syracuse University overseeing all aspects of esports across campus. He previously worked at Shenandoah University as the director of esports developing one of the first esports majors in the country while also starting the varsity esports teams and designing their esports arena. He has served on numerous boards and committees in collegiate and high school esports including chairing the National Association of Collegiate Esports Board of Directors. He is also a co-founder of Esports Development and Growth Enterprise, a consulting company to help schools start esports programs and run esports competitions.
