Renitta Sweet, events and marketing manager for the*gamehers, is dedicated to bringing more women into gaming and esports. In her role she is transforming the esports landscape into a more inclusive and diverse community by developing and implementing community engagement strategies and initiatives like the*gamehers’ Ambassadors program. In addition to supporting underrepresented gamers to advocate for diversity and inclusivity within the gaming world, she cultivates and manages relationships with nonprofit organizations, government agencies, private companies, and community leaders.

Sweet has a diverse professional background. Prior to the*gamehers, she held various positions including campaign manager for a state house representative, web product analyst and co-founder of Give Up the Sticks (GUTS G-League), an amateur gaming tournament company.

She has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Columbus State University and established herself as a change agent through her leadership in the community. Sweet has served on several Board of Directors including the Mayor's Commission on Unity, Diversity, and Prosperity, Congressman Sanford Bishop Black History Breakfast, Fountain City Football Classic Committee, past president of the Urban League Young Professionals, and communications chair for the Junior League. the*gamehers is a global community dedicated to supporting and empowering women and femme-identifying gamers and industry professionals. Through events, workshops and online platforms, the*gamehers aims to create a more inclusive and diverse gaming industry.
