Tu Nguyen is the esports coach at Guilford Technical Community College in Jamestown, North Carolina. Nguyen was himself a former esports player, and re-entered esports later in his career as a coach with the public institution to guide talented individuals to successful careers in esports, academics and future professions.  In addition to his role at Guilford Tech, he is currently a commissioned officer in the North Carolina Army National Guard and specializes in explosive ordnance disposal. Prior to Guilford Tech, he had been with diverse organizations including Amazon.com. His diverse background and extensive esports experience has helped build a solid operational foundation for the esports program at Guildford Tech. Nguyen holds a criminal Justice degree from NC A&T, a business administration degree from UNC Greensboro, and is a masters in public administration candidate at UNC Chapel Hill.
