Cassie Poss
Cassie Poss brings almost 15 years of expertise in event and organizational management to her role at Visit Fort Worth and the Fort Worth Sports Commission. Since joining in 2017, she has served in several capacities within the sports sector of VFW, beginning as a coordinator. She currently serves as the interim executive director. In the eight years since joining the organization, she has been instrumental in launching the Fort Worth Sports Commission, a 501(c)(3) sub-brand of VFW, and securing high-profile sporting events for the city. Her impressive portfolio includes the National Finals Rodeo (2020), USA Gymnastics US Championships (2021 and 2024), NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Championships (2019–2027), Bassmaster Classic (2021 and 2025), USA Wrestling Olympic Trials (2021), NCAA DI Men’s Basketball 1st & 2nd Rounds (2022 and 2027), Fortnite Global Championships (2024), Rocket League World Championship (2024), and NCAA DI Women’s Basketball Regional (2026), and the MLB Draft (2024), among others. Most recently, she spearheaded the successful bid for the National Cheerleaders Association High School Nationals (2026–2028), which is organized by Varsity Spirit, the largest cheerleading producer in the country.
Prior to her tenure with Visit Fort Worth’s sports team, she excelled as an account executive, managing diverse events for both nonprofit and for-profit organizations. She is the recipient of the 2020 Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Rise Award for Young Professional Achievement, has chaired international committees for MPI, and served on the MPI D/FW Board of Directors. She has also been involved in several committees and communities within Sports ETA.
