Loren Gold is the executive vice president for the Greater Raleigh (North Carolina) Convention and Visitors Bureau. In that role, he is responsible for leading the development of strategic sales and marketing programs, including brand management, market research, marketing communications, advertising, destination technology and public relations. Gold also oversees the organizational implementation of the Destination Strategic Plan, the 10-year tourism master plan for Wake County.  Gold is a member of the Destinations International Sales and Services Committee, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and the MINT+ Advisory Committee. With more than 25 years of senior sales management experience, Gold previously held positions in the Washington, D.C., area as director of national sales in Wyndham International's National Sales Office, as well as national sales manager for Marriott Hotels and Resorts. Gold founded City Reps Inc., the country's first company dedicated exclusively to multiple CVB representation. He joined the Greater Raleigh CVB in 2005 as the director of sales, before being promoted to his current position in 2007.
