Head Coach, Marhsalltown Community College

Nathan Rodemeyer has been the head coach of Marshalltown Community College's esports program since its inception in fall 2022. Alongside Iowa Valley Community College District Esports Director, Dr. Andrew Goforth, and an excellent coaching staff, Rodemeyer has coached the MCC program to 22 national championships in 3.5 years, including defeating Michigan State in the Division 2 Mario Kart 8DX Collegiate Karting League national championship in Fall 2025.

Rodemeyer also serves as the head of the Business-IT Division at IVCCD and is the creator and lead professor of MCC's "Esports Program Management" degree. This is a unique associate's degree in esports coaching and administration with full articulation at several Iowa universities, deep ties to the community and a contract with the Iowa High School Esports Association to run their state championships three times a year in downtown Marshalltown. Rodemeyer is also a Marshalltown native, former K-12 social studies teacher and esports coach, former IAHSEA president, and a proud husband and father.
