Roy Krishnan’s journey in esports picked up when his biotech startup, Liquid Sports Lab, started creating new ways to train gamers and create teams. After winning the 2021 Unified Pro Am championship in the team’s debut year, Krishnan graduated as an undergrad from the University of Rochester, took a sabbatical from his post-graduate education and went to work for Mavs Gaming and the Dallas Mavericks where he served as the offensive co-ordinator and assistant coach. In my his year there, Mavs Gaming had the most successful year in team history and went on to win the Ticket Championship. He was then hired as the head coach of Raptors Uprising, Toronto’s NBA 2K League team, and serves in that capacity today.
